Attitude and Related Factors towards COVID-19 Prevention based on the Health Belief Model among the Rafsanjan Citizens

Aims: COVID-19 is rapidly expanding around the world and one of most important health problems. The purpose study was to determine preventive behaviors from its determinants based on some constructs Health Belief Model. Instrument & Methods: This cross-sectional conducted 2504 citizens Rafsanjan in 2020 that were randomly selected by cluster sampling method. Data collected using a behavior Model (HBMs) researcher-made questionnaire Internet. validity evaluated ten specialists, reliability assessed Cronbach's alpha coefficient. analysis SPSS 18 applying statistical tests such as Pearson's correlation coefficient, independent t-test, One-Way ANOVA, linear regression. Findings: means score knowledge, attitude, perceived susceptibility, severity, benefits, barriers, 83.13±10.72, 81.17±8.55, 79.28±17.19, 74.47±14.65, 84.32±16.11, 69.27±14.31, 87.35±11.16, respectively. There significant between with HBMs (p<0.001). attitude strongest predictor for adopting (B=0.446, p<0.001). In total, HBM predicted 36.8% COVID-19. Conclusions: constructs.
